Chintz Post Print Circa 1830

65.00

This is a wonderful example of a post print as opposed to a pillar print.  It is a glazed chintz circa 1830.  The selvage width is 25" and the pattern repeats every 14 inches.  There is the prettiest tan and white picotage background which I have shown in the last photo.  I am selling this by the repeat.  One side has some small threads indicating that it was once sewn to something along that side. But I don't see any quilting lines or tack holes so perhaps it was just hung as a panel or someone's unfinished project!
