Light and Dark Log Cabin Quilt

650.00

This is a wonderful multi-generational log cabin quilt. The use of light and dark makes this so striking and make it work as a bed cover or a wall hanging.  This quilt measures 69 inches by 82 inches.  The front fabrics date circa 1880-90.  The back is more probably mid 1900's.  The patterned pink fabric looks to me to be feedsack circa 1930-40.  There is one place that has glue/paper residue which I think is where a label may have been. I have shown it in the photo.  The red fabric is much harder for me to date.  The back is turned to the front for the binding edge.  It is all hand pieced and tacked with green yarn.
