Blue Resist Quilt - *SOLD*

This is a wonderful blue resist quilt measuring 103" x 85". The center of this quilt is made of pieced double resist in a pineapple pattern. We have found the fabric in Montgomery but without a specific date. Some of the pieces are more faded than others. It looks to us as though the fading was there when the quilt was made. This might be indicative that the resist had been previously used in the home. The resist center is bordered with a strip of fabric. We have provided a close up photo of it. There is then a row of indigos in a flying geese pattern and an outer border of floral indigo. The back of the quilt is muslin. There is no binding on the edge. There are a couple of small brown spots which we have photographed. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. The quilting is approximately 8 spi.
